Case Study

(01) Introduction

As Compost Exchange prepared to scale impact and adoption in zero-waste ecosystems, they partnered with Nucleus to define a clear brand identity and digital presence. The goal was to articulate Compost Exchange’s mission and value in a way that resonated with diverse stakeholders, from municipalities to business partners and community advocates.

A DISTINCTIVE BRAND AND DIGITAL PRESENCE FOR AN ORGANIC WASTE MARKETPLACE

Compost Exchange engaged Nucleus to build a brand identity and digital system that would support its unique role in the sustainability and waste management space. The work began with a strategic foundation to clarify the company’s purpose, audience, and messaging, setting the stage for a visual identity that communicated clarity and impact.

Nucleus then translated these insights into a cohesive brand system, including visual identity elements, color palettes, typography, and supporting design assets, to unify Compost Exchange’s presence across platforms. Alongside the brand refresh, a redesigned digital presence provided a clear, intuitive experience for users seeking composting solutions and ecosystem partners.

By grounding the work in Compost Exchange’s mission and audience needs, the new brand and digital experience helped position the company as a compelling force in organic waste diversion and community engagement, supporting its continued growth and impact.
